ti99iuc
A new Italian 99er user, Sergio Zanotti, tried to create his first game using TI-BASIC and so Lazy Snake is born. You can play it in classic version of snake played on an empty field, without obstacles. The best way to get very high scores; or you can play MAZE with obstacles in the field. this option allows you to play in a randomly generated maze and you can choice the difficult level: Easy, Medium and Hard (the higher the difficulty, the greater the obstacles placed on the field). The game has been also compiled by @tmop69 (much faster and playable), also added the scores in real-time, set different speed according to the chosen game mode (faster for Classic and slower for Maze) and added play with joysticks; here you can find the official page of the game where you can find the downloads and also the play-on-line button: https://www.ti99iuc.it/web/index.php?pageid=database_cerca&archivioid=973 the download are at the bottom of the page but these are the direct links: - TI BASIC VERSION (DSK,FIAD,TXT,WAV); - TMOP COMPILED VERSION (BIN,RPK); Hope you like! Happy Holidays. Edited December 28, 2021 by ti99iuc
Count9929A
WoW a new Italian production for our lovely TI! another nice xmas present:-) It seems that Italian 99'ers likes snake-like games a lot... I remember: 1) Nibbler by Giuffrida 2) Snake snake by MMG Software (thanks ti99iuc for preserving this nice piece of software) 3) now this Lazy Snake maybe there are others. It seems a lot with respect to the limited landscape of Italian TI99 software

Sergioz82
Hi, I'm the author of the game. Thanks for the appreciation guys @Count9929A in my case the background story is: in 2005 circa I tried to write my first game in j2me language (for a Nokia 3510i) and it was a snake game, inspired of course by the famous one for 3210. It remained a test so my choice was to complete what I never finished. Also, I thought that given TI-99 Basic limitations in speed and versatility the snake was a fair compromise between complexity and execution speed. I didn't want to make a game that is unplayable due to extreme slowness Edited December 30, 2021 by Sergioz82 6
