Dantaipan
Well, I've been using a PC-to-5200 joystick adapter that I made for a while now. I came to realize that I only used one PC controller for all of my 5200 gaming. I also realized that I had a junker 5200 stick that was just sitting there waiting for a project. Well, I took the cable from the junker, ripped the cable off the PC stick and added a plug to the side of the PC stick. Now I just plug the PC stick in the 5200 and the 5200 stick in the PC stick for keypad usage. One really nice thing is that when playing Montezuma's Revenge I don't even need the 5200 controller plugged in. Confused? Here's a pic:
sku_u
That is a very nice mod you did on that controller. Was swapping out the cables difficult?
Dantaipan
Swapping the cables was really easy. The only thing that took a little time was mapping all of the wires to pins on the 5200 end. Those PC sticks only cost about $6 now and there's enough room in the base for a little project board. The male adapter for the 5200 stick is screwed on the PC controller so everything is very sturdy.

Brad2600
Quite impressive I'll say. There are thrifts around here that usually have PC joysticks. I might get an adaptor but I also have some junk 5200 sticks that could be used for a project similar to yours.
