prototector
Over a decade ago, Konami came out with this questionable product I'm hoping there might be anybody who played this and still has the computer (or at least hard drive) on which it was played. People from the Frogger series community are looking to preserve the game data to this, now that it's no longer playable by regular means. Even though it's considered plug-n-play, it's technically not since the "play" does not work properly anymore. There is actually no game data on this controller. What it did was that it would connect to a Konami server to authenticate, then the Frogger game data would be downloaded to your computer piecemeal, level by level as you progressed to each next one, and loaded that way. With the server shut down about a decade ago, of course there is no point in buying one of these if you wanted to try out the game nowadays. By the way, you can't even use this as a gamepad for any other games, as they configured it to work specifically with the intended game(s). Windows detects it as a cdrom drive, although Windows 10 may have a tendency to not recognize it at all. There's another controller like this which seems to be at least a little more known, which is the Konami Live! arcade collection. Help would be greatly appreciated.
