Gateway
Don't know if this has been posted yet, but I stopped in at my local Toys R Us today and saw this. It looks similiar to the Activision and Atari releases( and was stocked on the same shelf as these ) except that the joystick is modelled after one you would find on the upright arcade machines( not sure of the correct term ). Sorry I don't have a picture. The games I remember shown on the package included: Pac-Man, Bosconian, Dig Dug, Galaxian, Rally X, and I think 2 more games. Anybody else seen this. It looks pretty cool, but I'm not ready to fork of $25 for one... yet. - Weston P.S. The games appeared to be renditions of their arcade counterparts, and not 2600 ports, like the other releases were.
moycon
http://www.jakkstvgames.com/ Sweet, First I heard of this. Might be worth it for Bosconian....If it were under $15. Not sure I like the design of the joystick. Seems kinda thick. Looks uncomfortable...Unless of course it's big enough to just set down on a table and is not ment to be held. Rob Mitchell
Wow! A home version of Rally-X? Somebody has to review this baby! Hopefully it is better made than the Atari version .. that didn't measure up for authentic 2600 games. Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, GA
sku_u
The grouping of games is very random. I wonder why they included Galaxian, but not Galaga and Pac-Man but not Ms. Pac-Man. Bosconian's inclusion also surprises me.
GrizzLee
I have one of these. It is very nice. My only complaint is that the controls won't let you move diagonally, so games like Bosconian are harder to play. You are only allowed to move up/down and left/right. BTW: Target Stores have these for $19.99. I noticed that our local COSTCO has the Atari 10-in-1s for $14.99. Take care, -Lee
NovaXpress
That just killed it for me. Bosconian needs 8-way control. Why even bother to use this game if they only build a 4-way stick? Give me something else. Very disappointing.
Inky
There's a thread about this in the Classic Gaming forum.
