ntsc games in uk

this has probably been asked before but i live in uk and all my carts are pal and wondered if anyone knew if ntsc carts work on our tvs or does the age of the tv matter?

Yes, NTSC games works on PAL consoles. Maybe you need a TV, which is too NTSC compatible, but most PAL TV's can play NTSC games.

There will be a noticable difference in the color scheme of the games as they appear on your TV, but there shouldn't be any significant problems playing NTSC games on a PAL TV.

Often the colour differences aren't too bad. For instance, in Activision's Skiing, the trees are blue while the snow is still, thankfully, white - I couldn't stand skiing down yellow snow

If the TV is very old you may need to use the Vertical Hold control on the back to stop the picture rolling with an NTSC cart. With a more modern TV the picture will probably stabilise itself. If you have a very recent TV it may even be NTSC compatible and show you the correct colours! -

It seems that in most NTSC games green objects are blue on PAL TVs.

 

For example International Soccer , Kung Fu Superkicks or Super Challenge Baseball.

 

The gras that should be green is blue now.But the rest of the game looks almost the same as the PAL versions.

 

Depending on the colors some NTSC games look exactly like the PAL versions.

 

For example Lock n Chase - I see no difference there,
