Room 34
I am working on a new CD, and I've decided to incorporate the 2600 as much as possible. Surely the Synthcart will come into play at some point, but here's a little oddity that is produced entirely with actual game sounds. It is called 2'16". (True 2600 freaks should get the reference.) While it is not exactly a musical masterpiece, it does contain distinct rhythmic patterns and a definite drum beat, bass line, and melodic parts, produced solely from sounds in the following games: Defender Warlords Slot Racers Canyon Bomber Space Invaders Air-Sea Battle Star Ship Pac-Man iTunes shows it clocking in at 2:15, but it's really just shy of 2:16 (naturally). You can download an MP3 of it here: http://smitty.room34.com/media/216.mp3

mos6507
I laughed out loud when the Pac Man music came in. You actually made something musical out of it after all these years!

Godzilla
great comedy. even with it being 2:16, its a shame so many elements were re-used so often. it felt like it was leading to something that never happened, imho...
joeybastard
That's really cool. I could see driving around to thrifts listening to that
