Lambda Mikel
Folks, my Atari 1200 XL has 2 little switches on the side that apparently allow selection of different ROMs (OS A / B, ... ?) I am wondering what would be the best way to identify these? I have a BASIC cartridge and an S-Drive. I already tried the https://www.wudsn.com/productions/atari800/atariromchecker/help/AtariROMChecker.html but this does not work with all combinations is seems. Also, saving to the S-Drive and then analyzing the ROM dump seems to be a bit more than what I am asking for. So I am wondering if there is a simpler "System Info Utility" ATR somewhere that would give me a basic breakdown of the system (OS-A / B, ...). It is NTSC for sure - that's all I know. Some games / demos work with some settings, but not with others. But I am not sure what other mods have been introduced by the previous owner. Any hints appreciated! Lambda Mikel
Some more context - the switches have the following behavior (D = Down, U = Up): D D = Green screen with cursor, then self-test U D = Atari Computer Memo Pad D U = Atari Rainbow Logo U U = Green screen with cursor, then self-test
Lambda Mikel
So, I opened her up - and apparently, it has Steve Tucker's "APE Warp+ OS-4-in-1" installed (whatever that is). Now I am looking for documentation... I guess I already have Steve's email address anyhow ? Funny how all my inquires seem to end at Atarimax! Nezgar
Says on the label of your OS chip "APE Warp+ OS 4-in-1" - so I guess it's an earlier version of the current "32-in-1" product. https://www.atarimax.com/warpos/documentation/ So my guess are some combination of: 800XL OS 800 OS 1200XL OS Warp+ OS
