The Story of Alternate Reality: A Game Series Too Ahead of its Time

 

I spent a couple of months on this video, documenting the history of my favorite ATARI game series. My parents played this series when I was a kid and I've enjoyed a few different runs myself over the years. I felt that there wasn't a good video on the subject and this was a story that need to be told. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it.

 

Also, special thanks to this community for keeping these old ATARI games alive and providing a bunch of information on this video.

Look forward to watching this video, the two Alternate Reality games on the Atari 8-bit computers were two of my favorites back in the day.  These games, combined with the Ultima series, paved the way for me to get into professional game development in the late 90s.
