Why would anyone have bought Slot Machine?

I have a boxed copy of Slot Machine too. :ponder: But I still need the manual.

Pac-Man does get a bad rap. It's only horrible when compared to the arcade game. That said, it's still fairly mediocre even on its own terms. The sounds are irritating, the maze is boring, and the action's too slow. But still... not a complete abomination.

Sorry, I'll make sure to get a minimum of 3 documented sources for any opinion I put forth from now on.

Naw man...Thats Ok...Usually when you say you think something is true your basing it on something.I will say that Slots is closer to the way an actual slot machine plays than Atari Pac-Man is to the way the acrcade Pac-Man plays.

I think playing real slots is fun just because there's always the chance you might get some cash kicked back to you...Ive never actually understood any of the gambling console games...You can't actually win anything, so there's not alot of incentive.

We're in complete agreement on both of these points! :D

Except when you are a kid, like I was back in the day, you couldn't play the slots. Incentive... Hell yes, it had incentive. It was a fun two player game.. compete for high score before dinner, before school, etc.... My brothers and I had a great time playing against each other. It was one of those games where eye-hand coordination didn't matter and you could play against your little brother who barely knew how to hold a joystick. From that perspective, it was a decent game in it's time.

Casino and Blackjack were fun for the same reasons. We played multi-player for Hi-score and tried to count the cards. A few times, we even played Blackjack using pennies. Yep, those were the days.... Now we are all growed up and too smart (or maybe too jaded, spoiled, whatever...) to enjoy the simple things.

I think I'll pull out Slot machine right now and play with my 7 year old. Quality time well spent :)
