wolfie104
i just bought an atari 800 computer and when i tried the floppy drive, i noticed that 3 of the pins where you plug in "peripherals" on the computer is missing. is there any easy way to fix this? if not, how can it be fixed? thanks, wolfie
classics
Many of the pins on the SIO port are unused. But if your peripherals dont work correctly then you will have to de-solder the port and replace it with a new one. Harvest one from a broken tape drive or you can order a new one from one of the Atari dealers like B&C or Best. They are around $2 each I believe. Bryan
You'll need to replace the port. Best Electronics has 'em, but you'll need to be able to desolder the damaged one. -Bry edit: Ooops. Steve beat me.
