+davidcalgary29
I haven't seen it come in a brown case before: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...0&category=3528
Christophero Sly
I had a brown-cased 'Gorf' in my possession for a while. I traded it to a fellow AA'er.
classics
I believe I have an Assembler/Editor cartridge in that same brown casing somewhere.
Nukey Shay
Gorf was made by Roklan (who used a yellow cart casing). I wonder if the case used to be yellow, or if these brown ones were just ones made incorrectly (i.e. with too much color added to the resin)? ndary
Gorf in a brown case is not uncommon, i think due to production materials.. they made a batch of brown case, also Space Jurney came in yellow case & blue case
video game addict
Actually I thought the one you traded was beige. Roklan made at least three distinct colors/styles for their cases, yellow, the Brown in this auction, & the beige which is identical in shape and may be closer to a resin mishap, than the yellow. But I've seen several of each beige/brown that I don't think thats a mishap either, they are pretty drastic. But the yellow carts, are shaped differently from the brown & beige ones. The top of the case is rounded. The brown/beige ones are flat. Also the yellow ones have three little lines near the top to help pull the cart out. I've seen several different titles now in both yellow & the beige or brown. One thing I hate about the yellow ones, all seem to have badly faded labels. My Wizard of Wor is brown, plus the one I recently sold. My Gorf is Beige. My Journey to the Planets & Deluxe Invaders are both Yellow. DI, I've seen in either the beige or brown. This was just a few months back. I want to say I've seen Journey to the Planets in beige before too, but I may be mistaken.
Andre
Hello all, > I want to say I've seen Journey to the Planets in beige before too, there is a "Journey to the Planets" in my collection with a (dark) brown case. Cheers, Andre
video game addict
Here are the three colors of mine side by side. And also I found a beige Deluxe Invaders on my computer as well:
video game addict
OK looks like I left one off the list. I was thinking my Diamond Mine cart was yellow, but that was the C64 version I had, I was wondering why I couldn't find it last night. It's in a Black case, similar to the yellow in design, and also with the crapy label. Anyways here are more pics, four distinct colors/designs, all Roklan carts:
