Albert Posted October 26, 2001 Share Posted October 26, 2001 As long as you have some way of saving the program to your computer's hard drive while you're developing it I don't see why this wouldn't work. Ideally you'd use a real Atari 8-bit computer with something like APE that allows you to use your computer to emulate peripherals on the 8-bit. This way you can run your program on a real 8-bit, but save everything on the PC. Certainly I'm going to be looking at this solution when I try to get my Carina II Atari 8-bit BBS up and running again. As for converting your program, I don't see any obstacles that would prevent you from converting it from QBasic into Atari BASIC. You'll just need to learn the (often subtle) differences between the two languages.
