thund3r
is it possible or has some1 made the game at all?
Happy_Dude
I really want to see somone make this I don't think a 100% port would be possible though. I did some work on a title screen in which I wanted to add a high res (pf) Mr. Driller title but this was as far as I got. I also did a lot of brainstorming, mostly on how to keep track of 500ft of blocks. A bit to ambitious for a first project
video game addict
I think it should be done on the 5200/7800.
thund3r
I think it should be done on the 5200/7800. yea id luv a 7800 port but i doubt any1 would... how many projects have there been for the 7800? exactly.
Happy_Dude
I think it should be done on the 5200/7800. 5200 doesn't have international support (ie: ME ) I think the 7800 could pull off a decent port ....
thund3r
well maybe u could try limiting the number of blocks, i kno it wont really be mr driller, but at least u can say u've made it
Happy_Dude
well maybe u could try limiting the number of blocks, i kno it wont really be mr driller, but at least u can say u've made it I'm a cronic procrastinator. I wouldn't be releasing a "Platinum edition" later on It would have to be "perfect" first (which also means lisenced to use the name "Mr.Driller" ) I could limit horizontal blocks and very well might have too. But the vertical game space is what makes it Mr. Driller .... Damnit now I'm gonna be thinking about this all week
Godzilla
well I hope someone does it. and I've love to see it on the 2600, just cause I know it would be less expected :-)

It was hella sweet too-did he suspend work on it for the time being? I know he wanted to rewrite the code to accomodate more horizontal blocks or something... ubersaurus
Would it not be possible to disassemble the binary and get the source code from that?
Christopher Tumber
All my souce code is just fine. My computer came through okay, except my monitor which was slightly melted (stuff that was high off the ground got the worst of it from heat and smoke). Big Dig is still in development. It's stalled a little because of some major logic issues (essentially, the grouping of like coloured blocks is quite labour intensive and I was having problems getting it done over few enough frames to keep the action smooth). That and I'm easily distracted. Chris...

JB
I guess I need to ask the question, "What the heck is driller?" Mr. Driller = Tetris + Boulder Dash Chris... It can also be described as "the most addictive game since Tetris". Or "the bastard child of DigDug and Dr. Mario" Or "a bad trip" ... There's probably some truth in all of those. Godzilla
It kind of reminded me of Amiga 'P.P. Hammer and his Pneumatic Weapon' (I just like saying that....) but really they are both awesome games.
