tailGator
I recently managed to pick up a Tapper in a lot with a bunch of commons. The 2600 version was surprisingly good. The addictiveness was definitely still prevalent in this version. I'd have to say, this game may make my top 10 games for the 2600 list. sku_u
Great pick up. This is one of the best Arcade ports for the 2600 IMHO. I love the transitions and playability is similar enough to the arcade version to make this a classic.
Brad2600
This game totally rocks. I haven't played it for a while but I have been thinking about breaking it out for a few rounds.
2600Lives
It's one of my most played MAME games. I worked on a game review website for a while (and gave it up because I SUCK at HTML), and I had a screenshot of the arcade Tapper on the opening page. Godzilla
I prefer the 2600 version to the arcade version. I just love it's rhythms, and I love getting good enough to clear a board in your first sweep across all the tables :-)
Inky
Tapper is definitely in the top 5 arcade ports for the 2600.
ATARIPITBULL
I lucked out and bought a loose copy with its manual, for only $22.00 on ebay and when I tried it I could not belive how great it looked and played, they did a great job on this one. Godzilla
i need to get that hackomatic so i can put the 'beer' back in 2600 tapper. :-)
NE146
i need to get that hackomatic so i can put the 'beer' back in 2600 tapper. :-) Yeah that'd be a great graphic/color hack.. Take out that mountain dew and put in the original Budweiser!
Brad2600
But you couldn't turn around and sell it...LOL. I think someone should hack it and improve the gameplay a bit. I do think it's kinda hard in the later levels if not impossible.
NE146
But you couldn't turn around and sell it...LOL. Who says sell it? Hack it up with a Bud logo, post the bin, and that'd be the end of it
