omne
I have no idea how to get manufacturing date out of that, but a small font for the 72RB4 part means early manufacture, and a large font means later manufacture. Early manufacture means socketed chips inside (good), and likely full 2600 compatibility with Supercharger games and games like Robot Tank (great!) Later manufacture means soldered in chips (tougher to repair board) and less 2600 compatibility (no Robot Tank, no Supercharger). I'm sure there could be exceptions to this, but this matched pair of possibilities, gives you the greatest possibility of satisfaction. Just firmly grab one of each of these possibilities in each hand, and have a taste, and see which one you prefer.
