Slicer
Hello Bit-Crackers, i recently came across a german Atari VCS 800 system manual. The system really looks like the VCS (or 2600). Does anybody know more on the Atari VCS 800? I didn't find much on it in the Web. Any input appreciated - Slicer
Mister VCS
The first Atari VCS consoles in Germany were imported by a company called Unimex. They called the VCS sometimes VCS 800. I own an early german Street Racer and Space Invaders manual with the model-nr. 800 printed on it. They also called the VCS somtimes Atari CX 2600 (VCS 800). Why? Who knows? Nukey Shay
Confusion over the 2600 model number and the Atari 800's model number?
Slicer
Mister VCS, thank you! That's interesting. Is there any more information (historical, articles, figures and numbers) available on Unimex selling the Atari VCS in Germany? It's no confusion on the 2600 model number and the Atari 800's model number, the manual i own states "Atari VCS 800" and explains definitely a VCS (pictures in it). Slicer
Nukey Shay
No...I meant confusion on their part...which could have happened since the 2600 was called the Video Computer System. What's the model number of the Atari Video Computer System? The Atari computer system? It says "800" here.
Slicer
Nukey Shay, sorry. I understand. Now does someone know any more on Unimex selling the VCS console in Germany? All i know is about the Unimex Dublicator to copy VCS cartridges. Slicer

Nukey Shay
I didn't offend me. Though technically, I'm a bit-froggie. Marie Osmond is a little bit-country.
