Are there any programs out there for making Atari 8 Bit videos ie: Special hardware needed

Hello everyone:

 

I just got my Atari and my AVG cart working and although playing and making music for it is fun, it has been done to death, I would like to try something new , and that is to make short films that could be played back on the AVG cartridge , I hear that a few users are presently or have ben working on this so I would like to get some advice. 

 

How is this being done at the moment, I do have Videopad from NCH software and could make short videos but I don not know the correct resolutions, etc..... and I know that you somehow have touse sound.

 

I do have the AVG cart with the SIO cable , an Ultimate 1 MB board and an 850 Interface with a WIFI adapter so I could get data into the computer, I also have a few 9 pin to Lan cable cords that I could experiment with, so any help would be appreciated. Russ Campbell
