Mendon
I can't remember off the top of my head but do Genesis controllers work on all 7800 games or are there some that you have to use the ProLine for because of button layout? Thanks in advance! Mendon
Classic Pac
Been there done that Genesis controllers only work with games that only use 1 fire button not
Mendon
Thanks for the info; much appreciated. Anyone know how many 7800 titles use both buttons? I'm sure the sports titles do and maybe Commando and Double Dragon but most of the titles I now own I can use the Genesis controller with, which I prefer over the ProLine. Thanks again! Mendon
Thanks much, Mitch!!!! Really appreciate the info!! But... but... Rampage uses 2 buttons?? You know why (I've never played the 7800 version)? My 8bit version uses the standard 2600 controller. Mendon

JerseyDevil
Looking at that list of games, it is really sad how few 7800 games there are.
Classic Pac
But the 7800 has some of the strangest titles for ANY SYSTEM Take Midnight Mutants and Ninja Golf just to name two
Inky
I was going to build a genesis pad adapter for the 7800, but the local Radio Outhouse -- err... Shack (you've got questions? We don't have half the crap we had 5 years ago) had like 1/3 the parts I need. If I can find the parts, I'd like to produce a few of them for sale. Mendon
Put me down for a pre-order, Inky! I prefer the Genny controller over the ProLine and have money order ready to send as soon as you finish mine Mendon

From FAQ: 3906 PNP transistor 1k resistors 620 ohm resistor male din9 connector female din9 connector (I'd say cut off the cable from an old genesis controller) They didn't have all that at Radio Shack? It's pretty common stuff, and I've bought 3906s there. It's just a digital circuit too, so you don't need those exact resistances.

A few of the parts they had spaces for, but they were out of stock the 3906 I couldn't find, and the clerk was too clueless to help me find it.
