krisjohn
I've got an Atari 400, sans power supply. Can anyone tell me the polarity, voltage and current requirements for the 400? So far I've only got the power LED to light up momentarily as I unplug the generic AC adapter. The standard 8-bit FAQ on the 'Net doesn't have power information that I can find. TIA. Bryan
It's a 9V AC adapter (basically just a transformer). The one used by a 800/810/1050 will work. -Bry

krisjohn
Sounds like a NES/SNES adapter might work too...
Mindfield
NES adapters don't have the necessary amperage. (IIRC the NES uses 9v/800mA) SNES uses, if I recall, 10V AC, which is a bit too much. You'll need an adapter that does 9v/2.0A.
krisjohn
The (S)NES uses 9V AC 1.3A. I'll give it a try this evening. Hopefully I'll at least be able to workout if it's worth buying a new adapter, or if I've just found my first Nano-ITX project.
krisjohn
Works with a (S)NES adapter. Thanks everyone. Now I need to give it a damn good clean.
