deffroe Posted February 11, 2023 Share Posted February 11, 2023 Hi all. Today I installed a Deluxe Compsite mod from TheFutrewas8bit. The porcess went as expected and there is a massive improvement over RF but I'm having a little issue. The graphics have a shimmering type effect where they are rapidly changing from solid colours to a more chequerboad effect. Any clues to what might be causing it? Ouzy Posted February 11, 2023 Share Posted February 11, 2023 (edited) Was it the same motherboard shown in Tfw8b photo and did you cut the yellow cable down to size. Also make sure that when you soldered it, it never touched any other resistors. I never removed the RF board rather cut components that were no longer required and left them in situ. Where did you ground it too? I did mine last week see photo.. Worked fine. Ouzy Posted February 11, 2023 Share Posted February 11, 2023 Your composite connection seems to be in the correct place. Is anything touching where u have hot glued the jack socket? deffroe Posted February 12, 2023 Author Share Posted February 12, 2023 Found the issue with the shimmering/flicker display...Tried the console on two Samsung TV's, one a 4K the other an older 1080p and there was no issues with the displayed image, back to my LG TV/Monitor and shimmer shimmer.
