Have you tried cleaning the contacts with some isopropyl alcohol?

Agreed. I’ve had similar results on many old carts, which was resolved by cleaning the contacts.

I've tried alcohol, deoxit, and last resort was brasso.

Contacts look like clean shiny tin but viewing at different angles they appear to still have some tarnish.

Use good quality (Unilever) brand q-tips. Break the Q Tip in half, put it in a drill and then use some decent cleaner with the power drill/Q Tips combination, clean the contacts.  The Q Tips are soft enough that it won't hurt the contacts.  You can get it nice and clean with this method. I've done it myself.

Also, have you tried cleaning the cartridge slot?  Alcohol, Deoxit, or contact cleaner only.  Brasso and similar polishes not recommended.

Wedge a credit card in the slot behind the game after inserted.  Then power it on.

Yep, these have thinner boards. I use pack of matches, like my car 8-track used to need, lol

I used that trick mostly for the Activision 5200 games.
