+videofx
I just picked up a bundle of Atari goodies. One of the things in the bundle was a Recoton Stereo Sound Simulator. It has a SIO and DB-9 female. I can find anything. Anyone know anything about this? Is it worth anything? Thanks for the help!
Iguana Bob
Looks like someone repurposed the box and built an sio2pc out of it. You should open it up and see what's inside.
Rybags
Possibly it just replicates the left channel and uses the controller port output to control the balance. Having some delay between channels could enhance the effect.

I'd bet a large sum of money that Iguana Bob is correct.
