Well, if we want to go that way.....

 

1 810 or 1050 floppy drive

1 compatible TV set

4 joysticks (We need an Atari 800 for this)

1 working floppy disk labeled "M.U.L.E."

Actually until a few years ago, I ran a BBS on that very setup and it wasn't all that unstable.  Carina II, 800xl (256k Rambo), MIO (256k), SH204 (with the ST host adapter removed and connected directly to the MIO) with R-Time 8 and Basic XE carts.  Eventually the drive died, but until that happened it was a sweet setup.
