phoney
Hi folks, another good question from my project ... I have an 800 with a board that contains Axlon extended RAM. I intended to use this as a RAMdisk and was also hoping to be able to use it for software that requires extended RAM ... but it doesn't seem to be writeable. I'm trying to figure out whether this is my problem or the hardware's. Difficulty level: I can't run SDX because I don't have a writeable cartridge. I've been using MyDOS 4.53 and the version of MyDOS which has the '512K 800' patch. Both will format the RAMdisk and show the free space, but the system freezes when I try to write data. The SysInfo app tells me it sees the Axlon RAM, which is nice. Is there an 800-compatible extended RAM testing app I can run which can help diagnose this? Thank you.
