Scooter83
I wanted to expand a little on the serial number database on Atari computer systems. Like how Clause did with the 400s and 800s I would like to try and keep track of the Atari XEGS systems and see who has the earliest ones and how many we have in our community. Keyboard serial numbers and keyboard date codes on the keyboard board are welcomed if you have the info available. Always welcomed. Feel free to drop a photo or message of which serial number you have for the XEGS. Test Link. Let me know if it works for you https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EyNPoLLP4nfoGguZRf2W3LjBxNuTzHimYebMkjs-BR4/edit?usp=drivesdk NTSC System. Keyboard. Serial Number. Serial Number. Name. If you're a member, I think you have 30 days. @Albert just sets it up as indefinite in cases like this where it's needed.
+davidcalgary29
I'd love to know at what date the last ones were sold by Atari. Some of these, and not just the 800XE, were the last A8s sold commercially and some were still going out the door in mid-1992, right? Scooter83
For example my PAL unit that is Sn 000087 has chip date codes 8716 to 8730 so I think that would be an earlier system from the chip dates. But I'd love to see what some of the later xegs unit come back with especially the later keyboards that have dates on them

ClausB
Wondering about the date code. Maybe it's hexadecimal? 7A, 7C, 81, 84, etc. Maybe the number of weeks since the XE line started? Edited October 17, 2023 by ClausB

So 84 is April 1988. Mitch

If we find any with D, E, or F there, then we'll know it's not right.
