99/4 (NOT 4A) compatible terminal programs

Anyone know what terms are available for the 4 that work? TE1 I assume..   TE2? others?

Are there any that don't (besides Term80 maybe)? I can't think of any reason they'd fail?

Well if any given solution assumes the availability of CTRL and FCTN key combos, no dice, right?  Also, no direct input of the following characters { | } ~ ` \ [ ] could interfere. 

 

I would think any feature-rich terminal software not designed for compatibility with the 99/4 keyboard would fail for simple lack of analogous keys.

By that logic, it does look like TE I, not TE II , based on the manuals.

I think TE II came with an overlay for the 99/4 and code in the module to allow typing all of the keys that are not normally available.

I think if we could find an image of the overlay, that would probably show where the extra characters are.  The space key acted as a Control key and you could switch cases with a Control key combo...

I have that overlay in my closet. Pixelpedant encouraged me to scan it but it looks lousy compared to the scans on their website. I’m about to go out of town, but I’ll see if I can find it again before I slip out of town.

Here's a poor picture I used in the mentioned correspondence. I haven't found the overlay yet, but if one wanted to reference this picture to use TEII it's certainly viewable.
