livingonwheels
I was watching a review for Mr. Run and Jump for the Atari 2600. According to the review, the game is extremely frustrating and nearly impossible to finish without state saving. He mentioned that the Retron 77 allows you to state save with Mr. Run and Jump. I have both the game and the 2600+ on pre order, but might also consider a Retron 77 just for the option to save anytime. Might also come in handy for DragonStomper and Mindmaster, to name a few. tradyblix
No (properly made) game is impossible to beat without save states. You just have to "git gud". I've seen people claim they have to use save states to beat Castlevania III, but I beat it back in the day so it is possible. Frustrating sure. But that's what builds character. And skill. All to often today people want a shortcut Edited November 24, 2023 by tradyblix
SoyBoy
Easiest way to beat a game is to watch someone else play through it on YouTube.
