Would you call the Atari2600+ a Atari Flashback model...?

It depends upon where the corruption is in the rom dump, and how much there is.  A small amount of corruption in the 'right' place wouldn't even necessarily cause a crash, for some games at least.

No. Sometimes it loads them badly. We think some of the games haven't been played in a while and have some oxidation which is why anectodally some seem to work better after several insertions. They get "cleaned" but not as much as the original "cart scraper" 2600 port did.

Well I’ve done the cleaning, so hopefully I won’t be seeing that issue again 😁🤞
