As much as I like the design, the original Neptune was compatible with the Sega CD and this isn't. It's very cool but crippled.

Where do you see that? He says the Sega CD function on the Mega Everdrive Pro no longer works, and that's right. On a normal Genesis with 32X this does not work. But he doesn't say anything about a real Sega CD not working....the slot is there in the build along with the cover for it.

 

All this is essentially is a Genesis 2 with a 32X. And that does work with the Sega CD.

I see now, the expansion port is covered. Okay, no cons then?

Other than that is a whole lot of work just to get a Genesis 2 and a 32X in a Neptune looking shell.
