Ignore function not working properly

When I put someone on ignore, the site still says this person responded. It will even show the ignored person's message if someone responded to them. On most sites when someone is on ignore, we don't see that post even if it is quoted by someone else.

The ignore feature could certainly be fleshed out better to be more akin to the "Block" feature on Facebook, which does a pretty good job of hiding pretty much everything from people you've blocked. Whether Invision puts more time into improving the feature I do not know.  It would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath.  There might be a better third-party implementation, but I'm not keen on adding a ton of third-party plugins and applications to the forum, as it makes it more difficult to update when necessary, and it also introduces potential problems, as plugins and apps are not immune from having their own bugs and/or security issues.
