atarimac
I was wondering if there was any interest in a port of Atari800 for the Palm. It would most likely require OS5, since it would need the ARM processing power to be fast enough. I believe I have all of the info I need to do one, and since my Mac Port Atari800MacX seems to be relatively stable, I was looking for the next challenge . The only issue might be that I would make it donation ware this time. The only Palm I have is a Tungsten T2, so if someone wanted it to work on another model or specific features, they would probably have to volunteer for testing, or donate one . Or if enough people donated as part of donation ware, I could be convinced to buy another toy.... Anyway, just looking for thoughts and if there is a demand..... (And it would of course not be a commercial product like the recently announced 2600 emulator for Palm. Atari800 is a GPL'ed emulator, so it would be hard to force people to pay for something they could get the source for and compile themselves....) Animan
Wow..6 years, and nobody has shown interest. Well...I would like to see an Atari 800 emulator on the Palm. The only Palm I have is a plain old Tungsten T, which does a good job on the Colecovision and C64 emulators. I'd love to beta test this 800 emulator if it ever comes to be. I would make an 800 emulator for Palm, but I have no clue on how to program A Palm (maybe i'll learn someday...someday) Good luck (if you ever start the project).
