Hi,

Does anyone know if the CD is available for purchase? Or if an image/ROM of the Tape has been "dumped" and is available for free or purchase?

Thanks,

JL

Starpath Labyrinth Prototype Revealed

July 12, 2003

Posted by Albert Forums | Submit News

The Austin Gaming Expo will see the debut of a long-lost Starpath Atari 2600 title, Labyrinth. Labyrinth was listed in an early Starpath Catalog, but was eventually released as Escape From the Mindmaster. Labyrinth is an obvious work-in-progress version of Escape From the Mindmaster, but with many changes from what was finally released (different mazes, sounds, music, etc.). It was recently discovered in an eBay auction with other Starpath titles by Marvin Lambright of the NorthWest Classic Games Enthusiasts. Labyrinth will be released in a DVD-style case in CD form, so it can be easily used with a Supercharger or Cuttle Cart, and will be on display at the AtariAge booth.

D'oh. How could I be that stupid.

I just purchased 2 copies - see below

My sealed Starpath collection is now complete again.

Would it be possible for someone to provide me with an image suitable for emulators or instructions on how to do it myself?

Thanks,

JL

I don't understand?

I should be capture the output of the labrynth cd to a wav file and then use cutbin. Would this work? Would z26 or another emulator support it?

Has anyone succeeded in doing this?

Yes, that's what you could do, except that the tool to use is Makebin, which you can get from Bob Colbert's website. You can use a CD grabber tool to create the WAV file from the Labyrinth track, or just sample it with your favourite audio editor. Makebin expects a certain WAV format though. I think it's 8 bit at 44 kHz. Then you use Makebin on the WAV file and should get a 8448 byte binary which would work in PCAE, Stella and z26.
