Space Shuttle overlay for 2600+

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

If anyone is interested, I'll share the overlay I recreated to work on the Atari 2600+ as soon as I make certain it fits correctly.

Edit:  I did move the On / Off wording to the other side of the switch after I printed this one.

There's a typo under the Deorbit Burn instructions. Axis is mistakenly spelled as acis.

I tried checking it, but I knew I'd miss something.  Ok, I'll get the new one posted later tonight.  Thank you for pointing it out.

Very nicely done. There is one issue, You have three dashes in a few places where the original is a minus sign, (like -28 pitch) which is critical to the game. https://atariage.com/overlay_page.php?SoftwareLabelID=466

See this for gameplay tips:

Yeah, the minus signs were so long on that scan, I assumed it was something else.  My mistake.  Here is the fix.

Yeah, very cool! When I played this, as highlighted above, the manual and original overlay didn't make it clear on what you needed to do, this is a nice idea to make a better version for those that want to try this unique game out!
