Yars’ Return Tom not working correctly

Back when it was originally released on one of the Atari flashback units, it was a PAL rom. Was a complete misstep.  They later released an ntsc rom.  Track that one down.

Might be a bit off on this but here is the original thread I remember...

Funnily enough, a few days ago I was trying to figure out which two versions of Yars' Return are sitting in the library here.  One is marked as NTSC, the other as PAL, but the supposedly-NTSC version crashes as soon as the game goes past the copyright notice; this happens on both a 2600 Jr. and 7800 as well as Stella on an Intel Mac.

1536@lolbox Desktop % shasum -a 256 Yars*
87839e50a791d6ea2c84c2a7ff22538dd7d66b4bba2144c1d3eabdaae365237e  Yars' Return (Flashback 2 Version, NTSC).bin
7af874187b1243c1295d687e9a8133f9c46ca87e3ca79fc013c744c576330480  Yars' Return (Flashback 2 Version, PAL).bin

FWIW, the PAL version runs on my NTSC machine, but with the known issues clearly displayed (as expected).  Could someone who has a copy of this please check if it may be different to the ones shown above?

The version I have labelled as "Flashback 2 Version" matches x=usr(1536)'s "Flashback 2 Version, PAL" - supposedly there's a fixed version in the Flashback 2+, but I've never been able to find a dump of it. I pulled the version from Atari Vault and it's different.

$ find . -name Yar*Return* -exec shasum -a 256 {} \;
7af874187b1243c1295d687e9a8133f9c46ca87e3ca79fc013c744c576330480  ./flashback/Yars' Return (Flashback 2 Version).a26
882cd73fbb554ebb6f4783387785dbe7d715d11a8ff9c3b0d2bc4ad7b8937d28  ./vault/Yars' Return (Atari Vault Version).bin

The Atari Vault one doesn't flicker, doesn't double the Qotile and lets you wrap vertically. It generally plays better than the Flashback 2 version on real hardware with a CRT.
