Comicpalooza in Houston, May 24-26

Anybody going to Comicpalooza this year?  Looks like they have some video game stuff.

 

For Xmas some friends gave me a 3-day pass, it'll be my first time going.

I totally missed this. My sons and I attended a couple times when they were in their teens. They used to have a few coin-ops too from The Game Preserve.

Had a lot of fun.  

 

The Star Trek Panel with Anson Mount and Rebecca Romijn was awesome.  Jerry O'Connell (Romijn's husband) even crashed the party (he wasn't a featured guest for the con). He was dressed up as Mystique and stood in the Q&A line about 6 feet from me.

 

 

Sat in on a few NASA panels, which were quite interesting. These photos were from the panel about the challenges of lunar dust:

Panel for the anime Spy X Family was quite good.  My friends brought their niece and she was all excited when I said this was a panel I wanted to see:

 

 

 

Back to the Future panel was interesting, though also sad.  Michael J Fox's Parkinson's made it difficult to understand about half of what he said, while Christopher Lloyd had trouble remembering things.

Very cool! Thanks for the pics. I would love to have attended the NASA Panels. Last time I was there, one of the cool vehicles was a replica of the Speed Racer Mach 5.

Nice!  The Star Wars section was slick, though no land speeder. This setup had moving/speaking droids that performed bits from the movies:

This vendor was there way back when we attended. We purchased a couple of Sabers from them. Here's an old pic of our sons with their light sabers and a couple more pics of the Star Wars van. Thanks for your pics. I need to attend next years event. It's been too long.🙂 Btw, the droids look cool. They didn't have them BITD.
