Problem with AGSP, it Blocks the Terminal Boot Log in UBoot, Serial is Turned Off, can anyone fix it...?

Recommended Posts

When you connect a serial2USB to AGSP's UART(Debug connector) its has 3 pins holes on it RX, TX and Ground, it shows nothing on the original firmware that come with the AGSP but if you flash it with FW1.3.0c you see it boot log but only up to its kernal and stops and shows nothing after it, its serial is turned off in its Uboot so will not show anything after the kernal line, to see its full boot log you have to interrupt boot.

The only way round it is to interrupt boot and typing a command in that turns on the serial in Uboot.

Click on Putty screen when its connected to Putty then Press and hold down CTRL+C then Press and hold Power button on AGSP console until you see `=> <INTERRUPT>` on Putty, the terminal screen then let go of Power button, you might have to do it a few times, it might not do it the first time because INTERURPT is set at 0 so has no time to see the keys `CTRL+C` been held down so can miss it,  once it interrupted boot then copy command into Putty below and press enter key:

fdt set serial0 status okay
boot

You should see this when its interrupted boot:

Hit key to stop autoboot('CTRL+C'): 0
=> <INTERRUPT>
=> <INTERRUPT>
=> <INTERRUPT>
=> <INTERRUPT>

Now when it boots the kernel and you see its full log while it booting AGSP... :)
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this so the serial in UBoot is turned on when you boot AGSP and do not need to keep doing this...?

Its a pain in the rear doing this, specially when it keeps missing the interrupt and have to do this continuously until it see the interrupt, takes between 3 to 7 goes, hold keys down and power on(no didn't see interrupt) then power off, then have to do it again, power on(no didn't see interrupt) then power off and then again until it sees interrupt.
