Hi, im trying to see which s-video mod would be best to put in a light sixer. I see one sold by the Brewing academy TBA's Ultimate Atari Video (UAV) and another sold by on ebay by retrosix, the CleanComp https://www.ebay.com/itm/285884266873?itmmeta=01J3M777TPETABJDBHZ1JRYMJ1&hash=item429007b979:g:h14AAOSwHBRmOQbZ&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4Eycf%2FDdrjR4zWvUn3khKh50hSSsB3o1cpokR%2Fgf%2FnlTkl0vyPEOLFsKfUe9VhbNw0vrgMTSQ7xs0qDxxabxKDZACa3LjgXfPwoqfBAKN%2F6GPhTEUSYtOQLYmj7DmjWvH4FI51kdTb%2FtAmSeKPigI03U5P8pumHjZvrCjtrsizOms4J4jYixenEXW%2F6%2Banz7IkCOiAz%2BZ%2FZDJ3%2Fs3%2FGuKc597QluH8%2BB3XbsY2b0CexbAl93BiuHU7m4XC%2F24gDMpynoVdEHa872qyz8bdKKFfUnaZIcq%2FpW1tQen0ZpXNob|tkp%3ABk9SR7T9nIedZA

I would do tims RGB mod but of course that isnt sold anymore.

The goal is to get the best image that I can from the original light sixer to a hdmi converter.

Any help would be really appreciated, thanks

As you are in the US and using an NTSC console, I would say the UAV is the most cost effective option here. But..there is another option that is out there but I'm not sure the availability of it. And that is the TIA-digitizer for use with the RGB to HDMI project. It is an interposer board you install between the main board and the TIA similar to how Tim's RGB setup worked, and it provides a 2 wire digital signal that you can route to the old RF RCA jack. From there you use a Rasp-Pi converter to take that signal and provide you with HDMI output. But it still requires you to route audio separately and then use an audio injector in the mix to get the audio into the HDMI output. I've not tested any of this personally but have been wanting too now that some prelim support for the RGB2HDMI is now in the later FW of the OSSCs. In the case of the OSSC, the audio and video can be mixed together in the OSSC so it saves having to use the separate Rasp-Pi converter and audio injector.

I've been told that some of the stuff needed is out of stock right now but I'm planning to keep an eye on it for the future.

Aside from that though, I've been installing UAVs for over 7 years now and having used both the UAV and the Cleancomp, I still prefer the UAV's output through my AV setup in the lab and in my game room.

I bought an S-Vid Modded Vader Model couple of years ago  on eBay listed as a UAV....  it's been fantastic  very sharp and clean output.    I have that connected to a retroTink and it rivals the Flashback 8 and 9 hdmi versions in terms of sharpnes and colors etc.
