pacman000
It's cool, but I'd be more impressed if it created correct, working code for a Doom-like game, that could run on early 90's hardware.
Ninjabba
Interesting project for sure! Was discussing this earlier today at work. As usual, the AI has issues grasping the temporal concept of the video game but does a great job at the spatial aspects, eg. rendering environments/enemies and a notion of hit scanning. They've tried several things with Google DeepMind as well, and it can definitely play games like Breakout! or platformers like Infinite Mario Bros, but the moment temporal planning is required to solve a puzzle, eg. grab a key in one place to use it in another the AI tends to fall flat on its face. In this video its apparent with the exploding barrels for example.
Udderdude
It's a neat concept, but with no real game state, it's hallucination city.
