homerwannabee
Neither atariage or digital press guide have any iformation at all with who programmed these games. Back in the day a person needed extensive knowledge about the atari 2600 to program even a simple game. So I would not be suprised if it was someone who previously worked for atari or activision. I just wonder if anyone here has anyone information on who did these games?
povlok1
I believe that would of been Ben Dover and Phil McCrackin. Also, Jack Mehoff did some sublet work for em, the details are kind of sticky tho

rolenta
At the Mystique booth at CES in 1982, I was given a card with the name of Joel H Martin who worked for a company called Mindspring that was based in Hong Kong. I was told that he was the programmer of the early X-rated games.
RCmodeler
I think we need a 3D Sequel to Custer's Revenge. Starring Penelope Cruz. Yep, that'd be sweet.

Dolt
Oh yeah, and the manuals were written by Dame's Choice, better known as the author of the classics "Portrait of the Artist as a Hung Man" and "You'll Lick These."

I think tracking down this guy should be a #1 Priority for any future convention. He must have some funny stories. Imagine what the job interview must have been like! AtariDude
The question is if any of them would like to go on record for having created the games. The games got a lot of bad publicity in the day even though they were relatively tame.
Dolt
I don't know--blocky graphics or not, a game based around raping a squaw isn't necessarily tame. All that said, I believe that Mystique was based on Long Island where I live, somewhere out in Suffolk County (you'd think it'd be really EASY to find some of their games here as a result...and you'd be wrong!). I'd guess accordingly that the programmer(s) are somewhere out there on the Island.

They could be up for a lifetime achievement award at one of those porn 'oscar' award shows But seriously I bet most wouldn't mind. Apart from the readers of this website who in the world would care these days? It was a job and they were after some quick cash like all the other 3rd party developers. There would be some good stories about getting the job, the concept meetings, the public reaction and about the eventual failing of the company. I bet those guys would get a lot laughs to know that their are people some 20 years later still interested in their skin games. John
Godzilla
dont you mean 'giant pink pixel' in a shade that doesnt really resemble skin?

The carts themselves were made in Hong Kong, and as I mentioned earlier, I was told that the guy who designed the games was Hong Kong-based also. slapdash
I don't know--blocky graphics or not, a game based around raping a squaw isn't necessarily tame. The game is based around dodging arrows; and technically speaking, the squaw is not being raped. Would she be smiling if she were? Too bad the game's programmer didn't make the effort to have Custer untie her and then she jumps his bones... A lot of the scandal would have gone away on this one. NovaXpress
The fact that they have her smiling while being defiled by a naked cowboy just makes it all the worse. Would anyone know that Bachelor Party was a porn game if not for the box cover? Could just be a game of tag.
holygrailvideogames.com
There seems to be a lot of interest in the porn games. Maybe CPUWIZ could make a new homebrew and NE146 could consult on the project.

The sad thing is that many women orgasm during rape. The body just responds by instinct.
