They're letting people back in now, so it seems like it wasn't serious. Where were you when the fire alarm went off?

 

I was upstairs at the Jeff Minter panel.

I was in Virginia, at home, in the shower.

Sounds like someone burned something in an oven and that set off the smoke alarm.

If I remember my elementary school fire safety assembly correctly, that's the safest place to be. (I always though going all the way to Virginia was a little extreme, but I'm no fire safety expert so what do I know?)

I've heard multiple stories about the fire alarm.

 

Al told me that he was told it was something setting off a sensor but I asked an event security dude and he said someone pulled an alarm.

 

Like the Tootsie Pop commercial, the world may never know....

Makes anyone wonder if someone was trying to drop anchor in the restroom while that was going on.  Bet the guy in the Psyduck costume pulled it.

That's what it smelled like to me. I was by the lockers when it went off.

Great minds think alike! I was there as well,I enjoyed that panel quite a bit. I had always wondered does he make games then adds Jeff Minter visualizations or make Jeff Minter visualizations and add gameplay and I now conclude the answer is "yes"
