godsey1 Posted November 18, 2003 Share Posted November 18, 2003 Hi all. I found a Activision Fisking Derby with a peice of sponge that fits in the end of it. It fits perfect, looks factory made. Eventually Activision figured out that they were unneccesary and stopped including them. The sponges that were in my carts decayed long ago. Bivotar Posted November 18, 2003 Share Posted November 18, 2003 The early Activision cartridges were shipped with the foam inserts. I guess the intent was to provide protection for the exposed connector. Atari cart cases had the sliding door that protected the connector, Activision does not, so they tried to compensate by putting the foam in there.
