~llama
i'm not very familiar with the XEGS... are there any XEGS-specific ROMs, that can't be played on anything else? If so, are there any XEGS emulators? isnt the XEGS based on the 400/800 series of computers? thanks, i'm just curious and googling hasn't turned up anything about XEGS emulation yet
Major Havoc 2049
The XEGS is a 65XE in a different case and with Missile Command built in.
oesii
Yes the operating system (OS) inside of most XEGS is the XE rom revision C. So it's the same as other Atari computer with that rom and thus you don't need a separate emulator. It's the same machine with a different outside casing. There are no games that are XEGS exclusive, they all run on the older machines (with enough memory) or on the XE/XL line as well.
~llama
ah, thanks for clearing that up... I always thought it was a modded computer, that it was only based on the XE line, not that it was and XE in a new box.
