taylorcomm
My joystick port 1 is missing two pins, this causes my joystick not to move in the xy directions. I dont really know if they are missing or just bent inside. Does anyone know how to fix this? Has anyone ever fixed broken/missing pins? Its my only 5200 and it is the most important port so I dont want to break it. I tried to pull off the black port plastic casing that surrounds the port 1 pins but cant get it off. Any ideas? Ralph3
If you can actually see the bent pins, you can get a small pair of needle-nose pliers and try to straighten them out, If the pins are missing(broken), you need to replace the whole connector on the board. If you have a 4 port syatem, just replace it with the 4th players port(assuming you don't use all 4 ports). That is what I would do.
Rob Mitchell
My joystick port 1 is missing two pins ... Any ideas? I can see if my local electronics store has a replacement male socket. Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, GA
taylorcomm
Well the pins were definitely broken off. I ended up taking the one from port 4 off and switching it with port 1 and it works like a charm. Thanks!
