oesii
I'd like to own Bumper Bash and try it for real - but it's a rarity 9 ... so... it may be a while , but I'll look. Don't forget Bumper Bash is only a 4k game so you can run in through a Supercharger or it should only cost you $10-12 to get it reproduced from some nice Atari dealer. That's how I got a copy for playing
+Random Terrain
One last plea for why nudging should be in a pinball game. Nudging is probably not what pinball makers had in mind. But, it has become part of the game by many great players. IF you nudge, you risk the consequence of losing your ball. Fouling in hockey is DEFINITELY against the rules. Still, it is very much a part of the real game, and I would expect it in a video game version. Like nudging, fouling may be a dirty way to play, and you risk the consequence of your actions. Also, bear in mind that pinball machine makers mostly want your quarters! Naturally they want to discourage you from turning the odds in your favor - to me, this is sort of like a casino banning card counters. One last thing about Midnight Magic, I used to have it on my computer too - couldn't you nudge in this version? Hockey is a pretty good comparison. About your question, I played Night Mission Pinball more than David's Midnight Magic, but I think you could nudge. It says on various web sites that it features tilt, so I guess you could. gospeedde
Bumper Bash had better be good, I just spent too much for a beat up cart so that I could have a rare game that's fun to play. If its not the most fun I've ever had I blame you.
moycon
I enjoy both Midnight Magic and Video Pinball I would definately state MM was better if you had the ability to tilt. As it stands I cant choose between the two. MM has the better graphics. But I think VP has the better game play. The pro's and cons cross each other out. Bumper Bash I have never played enough (on emu) to comment on. Also Ive never played it on a real 2600.
Rob Mitchell
I converted a broken Atari Video Pinball into a controller for the pinball games. Some time ago I found a tilt controller and harvested it for parts .. and I still have the tilt mechanism. I wonder if I put it into the AVP controller I can get some tilt out of it for these pinball games that use tilt. So which of these 3 video pinball games feature tilt? I imagine not Bumper Bash. This may be too kool! Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, GA
adams_ale
I really like Midnight Magic for the 2600 but if you are looking for the best pinball on any system it will be found on the Turbografx 16. Ever hear of Alien Crush? Best pinball game ever. No beating Midnight Magic on the vcs though.
