+davidcalgary29
In the Summer 1983 edition of "The Atari Connection", Atari's planned 1400XL and 1450XLD computers are previewed. Included is a picture of an Atari 1450XLD...which on close inspection is actually labelled "1250XLD". Does anyone know if any 1450XLDs were made as "1250XLD"s? The original Model #'s for the 1400/1450XLD were actually: Atari 1400XL = Atari 1201XL Atari 1450XLD = Atari 1250XL I have most likely that very same 1250XLD from the promo photo, its the only one around so far as I know. Tempest
I'm actually going to try and build a 1400XL. I have an unpopulated 1400XL board that I'm trying to populate. The 1200XL and 1400XL are quite similar in many respects, so I can build it right inside the 1200XL case (although the side with the joystick ports is a little different). It also had some special chips, but I can get EPROM burns of those. Tempest

Savetz
I found a French language book from 1985 that mentions the 1245XLD on the cover! (There's no pictures of it inside.) Edited October 12, 2017 by Savetz
