I'm trying to learn how to write computer games using either Visual Basic or C/C++ (although for the latter I need a good working compiler and I need to learn it too!) As long as it is vertically separated you can do quite a lot. Just not on the same line. And if you can use a symmetrical (reflected) playfield, things get quite "easy".
