StanJr
Well, at the cost of a set of paddles and my thumbs and carpet, I FINALLY broke 10K on Decathlon! Weeeee! I really should have done better, but I totally blew the Javelin Event with 2 scratches and I should have gotten more pointsin the Hurdles, but I got robbed. Wee. Somebody should give me something. taxman
That used to be the game that everybody in my neighborhood played. Seemed like the 10000 was a big hurdle (kind of like the 4:00 minute mile) and then once I broke through, everyone else followed. Makes me want to give it another try as it's been almost 20 years since I've played it.

davidbrit2
I find that the Track and Field controller is perfect for Decathlon. You can hold down one of the two buttons, mash the other, and you'll run extremely fast. And of course there's the pole vault trick that everybody already knows. Big Player
The Track and Field controller is an easy way to get great scores in Decathlon. The first time I used it, my scores were not far below David Crane's best ones that are listed in the instructions. It also keeps your joysticks from getting destroyed. StanJr
please, by all means, send me one of these "track and field" controllers so that I may get higher scores as well.... Are T&F controllers considered cheating, Thomas?
Big Player
please, by all means, send me one of these "track and field" controllers so that I may get higher scores as well.... Hey, if I remember correctly, you passed on a Track and Field controller last year at Philly.
StanJr
I did? Must have been overpriced.
tiggerthehun
I did? Must have been overpriced. No, I remember that one. You passed on it, not because of the price - $1 - but because it came with a mandatory kick to the nads. Good thing you read the small print. Scooterb23
it came with a mandatory kick to the nads I don't think that would have stopped me...
