Mot
Can this just be written in Java and then it can be run on a MAC?
cschell
I've been told the linux source code compiles fine under OSX. I think someone in the preorder thread provided an example of how to do it. If you want to write the utilities in Java though, be my guest. The C source code is avaiable from my website. Chad
+kheller2
As for the linux menu program: pbg4:~ heller$ g++ CC2LinuxMenuConvSrc.c -o menu pbg4:~ heller$ ./menu Usage: convert_menu I'll attempt to get the other code compiled on the Mac. +kheller2
I have cc2menugen compiled on Mac X 10.3.2. It should also compile on FreeBSD from 4.6.2-Release to 5.1-Release. (I don't have 5.2R installed yet). Remember, Mac X 10.3.x is based on FreeBSD 5.1.
DracIsBack
For those of us who bought macs because we don't know or want to know about compiling, anyone willing to make a "To install Cuttle Cart 2 software on Mac OS X by clicking oK" type program? Albert
I also have an interest in running the utilities in OS X, since that is what I am using full-time now. ..Al

+kheller2
I've never used the interface builder tools before.. I guess I could give it a shot. But, its so darn easy to run the command line. =) I mean.. "make" then "cc2menugen" Okay.. not as easy as point and click...
cschell
The Windows version isn't a GUI either. You copy it to a directory and double click it to run it. It will spawn a command shell, run, and then exit back to the desktop. Does that behavior (or something equivalent) work on the Mac? Starman
The Mac does allow double-clicking on a command-line app, but you lose any chance of using command-line options. I'm guessing from what I'm reading here that you don't need them. Mike
