Susuwatari
Not the game but my 5200 consoles seems to have gremlins. My first 5200 that I tried to mod with AV didn't show good color and no one's been able to help with that so I went on to my other 5200's 5200 #2 wouldn't turn on. After checking the schematic, I popped out one IC and jumpered between pin 13 and pin 14 to bypass the power button. LED lights up but the TV shows nothing at all. I checked the IC I took out, it wasn't working so it's safe to assume the other ICs may have been fried. 5200 #3 I still don't have the right color and the audio makes loud hiss with out withou tthe AV mod. 5200 #4 worked but for some reason it shuts off after about a couple minutes. I haven't tried the AV mod yet.
jnice
There is a "dial" (for lack of a better word) that you can turn to alter the color near the on-off switch, but I'm sure you probably already know about this (you're messing with pins, which is WAY past my knowledge!). I'm not sure exactly what part number it is, but it was discussed in an earlier post. I stumbled onto this by accident when trying to alter the horizontal movement allowed by the joysticks (which is a different dial nearby). Don't most 5200's have that slight high-pitched "hum" to them anyway? Is that what you're talking about? Sounds like your systems are doing something worse than this, though. So, do you have any working systems without problems now? That's very unfortunate! Hope you get at least one of them working correctly. Good luck.
