emkay
Attached to this Message is the recorded sound of the pause mode of my game ADMIRANDUS. As some people know, it is as old as the MCS pictures... Please listen to the main voice and tell me what you think about it. The file is about 400k... so if you don't want to download it, you can hear the song while waiting in Admirandus for the pause-mode.
Tezz
The main lead instrument sound is good. how was this created?, it sounds like a useful lead instrument to use in a techy type soundtrack.
emkay
The main lead instrument sound is good. how was this created?, it sounds like a useful lead instrument to use in a techy type soundtrack. The tune was done with "A Musician's Dream" (the freeware version). It's simple VBI programming. The problem is that three channels are used for this voice. To get three channels for music, digitizing is recommended, or a softsynth routine that uses the voltage bit of the channel (from those 3 combined) that is not used for playing a note. My real problem is that it is not possible (for me at least) to reproduce this sounding with RMT.
emkay
@Analmux This sound is simply done in 50Hz VBI...Do you find this "technique" in other tunes done on the A8?
miker
Hmm... it sound very similar to the synths in Winter Olimpiad 88, but there it was created by using two channels (1 & 3 or 2 & 4) which were playing sound at the same frequency but different volume (in WO the volume also get changed but differently on both channels) with added the hi-pass filter (04 or 02 in $D208). Here may be something like that...
